Catching up on the last 2+ years

I am playing major, MAJOR, blog catchup....like trying to document my son's first few weeks, months, years, from a different city by photo memory only as we try to settle into life here in FL.  It certainly won't be as detailed as Isabel's posts, but hopefully Miles will forgive me and be happy that he actually has a complete baby book, thousands of digital pictures, and a momma that loves him more than he will ever know.

So look back to the past to catch up on our life in Chicago or just to the future to see how our city family is adjusting to life in Gator Country.

Vacation to FL and 1st Visit to Disney World!

(entry recorded on 17Aug2013)

Milo's first plane ride was to Orlando, FL.  We also decided that Isabel was old enough to justify the extremely exorbitant prices to visit the Magic Kingdom.  Our Mickey Mouse and Disney Princess obsessed daughter was super excited to meet them, but still very shy in the moment.  We met Grandma, Papa, and Uncle Nick there for a few days of much needed vacation and a nice break from the cold Chicago winter. We also spent much time swimming, playing mini golf, and enjoying the warm weather.

Not quite ready to go home!

Christmastime 2011

 (entry recorded 17Aug2013)

Milo's 1st Christmas!  Isabel's 1st Gingerbread House and first time bowling!  Many wonderful times preparing for and celebrating this holiday season.  We visited MSI's holiday exhibit and also Lincoln Park Zoo's Zoo Lights.  Grampa gets a puppy (and a pink carrier for her from us as a gift ;)

Milo's 1st Christmas Present!
