Today, was our first attempt at making my maternal grandmother's grape jam. We decided to go one step further, since we are living in Wisconsin, and picked the Concord grapes ourselves. We picked some extras so that I could experiment with Concord grape pies. The jam turned out great and compared reasonably well to my grandma's grape jam. We'll have to make this a yearly ritual!

Grandma M also stayed and watched Isabel so Greg and I could enjoy a night out with our friends. Dinner at The Great Dane and dessert at Bluphies (yum!) was a much needed treat! Thanks Mom!
