A visit to see Great Grandma (Busha)

This morning we headed over to Busha's house so that we could all visit and she could see how much Isabel has grown. It was nice because Izzy was content enough to allow Busha to hold her for a few minutes without much struggle. We picked up McDonald's breakfast on the way over there and Izzy had fallen asleep in the car, so we were able to eat before the real fun began.

Izzy and Busha played for a while and then Isabel did something she'd never really done before...she yelled out at something on the top of the couch or the window sill. After the first time, I thought it was just coincidental, but then she did it a few more times. It was quite funny! I think she was trying to communicate with whatever it was. I bet we'll be hearing more of this in the future.

Everytime we go over to Greg's Grandma's house, she tries to send us home with some food. This time, our visit was not planned far enough in advance for her to get any chips, so she prepared a care bag with some leftover BBQ pork, mashed potatoes, and corn. She even wanted to send us with plates, napkins, knives and forks "in case we got stuck"...well she must have ESP or something, because we got a flat tire. We survived our first family crisis and made it home about 5 hours or so after we left the suburbs. Thank goodness that Tires Plus is open on a Sunday! Delilah and Izzy were both real troopers throughout the ordeal!

I tried to take some self portraits of us outside Tires Plus. Not my best work, but hey, it's memorable enough!
