Izzy's chance to meet the dudes

Tonight our friends Luc and Brian drove up from Chicago to meet Izzy for the first time. We were really looking forward to having our friends meet her, but this was the first opportunity that we had since family was up visiting the weekend after we came home from the hospital.

Luc was a bit uneasy holding Izzy at first, but the second opportunity he had (in the picture) went much better.

Brian, on the other hand, is already an uncle and scooped her right up and even joked about taking care of her need to eat on his own.

This poor little girl doesn't know what kind of torture is coming to her once she is older. She is probably going to think that "Uncle" Brian is a creep years down the road.

This also gave Greg the opportunity to celebrate his birthday the way he is used to. This year, on his actual birthday, we were in the hospital with Izzy.
