Today, "Auntie" Marjie came over to spend the afternoon with us. I knew I only had about a two hour window to work with for fun times at the play date, so I gave Marjie a call once I saw Izzy stirring in her crib after her lunchtime nap. I wanted to make sure they got the most fun in during the visit. Izzy actually was still sleeping until about 1 minute after Marjie arrived. I got Izzy dressed (Wait...it was about 3:00 pm, when you came over today, wasn't it? Thanks Dad!) and brought her downstairs and fed her. Then the fun could begin! We enjoyed some playtime on her blanket, practicing sitting, standing while playing with her Baby Einstein Activity Caterpillar, and enjoyed reading some of Izzy's favorite books.
Izzy was very interested in The Very Hungry Caterpillar (at least early on....)
Wait a minute...did the cat just walk by???
On that note, Izzy has been very busy lately. She is very easily distracted, which can be a good or bad thing depending on what we are doing during the distraction. This presents a new challenge during feeding.
