Isabel was born late on Friday and we spend the entire weekend (including Daddy's birthday) in the hospital recovering and getting used to our new life. New Grandpa and Grandma M., Grandpa and Grandma H., Aunt Annie, and Uncle Nick all got to hold baby Izzy after we were out of recovery. Everyone was amazed with how perfect she was. We had many guests stop by to welcome our new addition. Isabel did what babies do...sleep, eat, poop, and pee. She spent most of her time sleeping, but we caught a few glimpses of her beautiful blue eyes. The one downside to delivering her via c-section was we lost our birthing suite that we labored in. It was a really big room with a table and two chairs as well as a pull out couch. We spent our weekend in a regular looking hospital room with two chairs and two beds. We thought we may have to share, but the second bed was for Dad. He said that it ended up being more comfortable that the pull out couch would have been...so maybe not so bad after all.
